    Moore Changes

So the dust isn't even settled on E3 and Peter decides to make another big announcement - the big farewell.  At first I thought maybe it had to do with the console repairs announcement a few weeks ago, but after some informal inter-office talks it doesn't look like the news is that juicy.  :(  More likely Peter's style to gear things up a bit, providing a lot of energy, then moving on to another project.

Only thing that scares me is knowing what happened to Sega . . .  :-X  As for Mattrick I guess we'll have to take a deep breath and hope for the best.  Quite the EA-Xbox tango.

    Games I'm Excited for:
    Blue Dragon, Assassin's Creed.

    The Press Release / Pre-Funk

Dang what a show!  Leave it to Xbox to have a pre-show band for a press release.  No really, was this a press release or a pre-funk party.  Us lackeys had the streaming video going on while we polished up the trailers you can watch on the site.

Here are some of our unofficial highlights:
    • The "Rock Band" a la Moore - was that for real?
    • Halo 3 Trailer - did you see those in-game graphics - and new vehicles!?
    • Messenger Kit - for real, can't wait for this one - i'm big on chatting.
    • Whats-his-name-football player - do you think he REALLY plays Xbox?  Yeah, me neither.
    • The G4 commentators . . . uh yeah . . . last time i checked this wasn't Monday Night Football . .  yet
    • Disney on Marketplace that's so cool (i'm getting paid to say that, really, you'd be suprised how big a deal this mouse is)
    • Last but not least - the Moat.  Gotta make sure we keep those alligators at bay!

Well, everyone's left for the night or gone back to their hotels.  I better do the same.

    Good gaming.

    E3 On the Horizon

So with the high rollers in Santa Barbara covering the big show (there's finally a decent E3 site up) there's a handful of us Lackeys back at HQ in Redmond getting all the details ready to go for tomorrow's big press briefing.

If i haven't pimped out our coverage too much yet, check out our site: Xbox.com E3 Coverage.   Here's some of the highlights we got going on for E3:
    1. We'll be Bringing it Home via Marketplace and keeping tabs on our Marketplace Ticker Page, so make sure you keep a close watch on that guy.
    2. If there's dirt you want Major Nelson, TriXie, or any of the other personalities to dig up down there, send a request to the gamertag xboxdotcomE3.
    3. We've got an "Official" Blog for more direct info about E3, as well.
    4. And for the other lesser known lackeys (i'm talkin about all you gamers out there who like to run your gums) - there's always E3 Gossip on the Forums

Catch you later, there's scurring to be had.

    E3 = Suprise Pack

So it looks like E3 is just around the corner again.  For all you leisurely gamers our there it means big game releases, new announcements, and whole lot of hoopla and fireworks.  Or least that's what it meant last year.  This year, who knows?  All bets are off as far as I’m concerned.

What I can bet on is that all of us locked up here in Xbox.com headquarters will be doing grueling hours of non-stop fire drills and endless cycles of articles, photos, and videos whirling around half a dozen boxers before getting feverishly published to the site for your viewing pleasure.

So while you gamers play your vids, gain your achievements, message your pals and casually check for the latest on www.xbox.com we’ll be missing our friends, families, and [most importantly] our Xboxs trying to get you slackers all the greatest news from your favorite 360.

Go on, chill.  We’ll get your back . . . this time.  Don't say we lackeys never do anything for you potatos.

Halo 3 Controllers and PGR 4 Vids

So Xbox recently announced some new Halo 3 Controllers and Headset - you know, for all of you Halo 3 fanatics who don't already have the Halo Zune, wear Halo costumes, and just generally drool at all things Halo-esque.  KP I'm talking about you - yeah i saw that pic of your H3 Lair (learn who KP is here).

I'm not a drooler myself, but i have to say i actually like that wireless headset deal.  Maybe it will grant me some nice sniper voodoo power so i can finally master one of those standing still head shots.  Or help me coordinate with comrades on the warthog.

Speaking of driving, if you like racing games check out the new PGR 4 snow and rain videos.  30% chance of drift on those slick tracks.  Me personally, not so much into the racing games (except Burnout, where you freakin crash cars lol) but the graphics look pretty cool - there's actual weather elements you've got to deal with ELEMENTS!

*I am fully aware that this is Xbox propaganda.  If you don't like you need not read. I'm a Lackey, my loyalties are no secret.

Red vs. Blue for Shadow Run?

Looks like the guys at Rooster Teeth are at it again - this time with a new RedvBlue-like series using the hit Xbox/PC crossover game Shadowrun.  You know, nothing ever really seems to happen plot-wise with these videos (by the time you reach the end the protagonist is still in the same predicament), but somehow i still find myself laughing hysterically.

Maybe it's that I have serious solidarity with the guy stuck on the phone amidst heavy fire talking with a tech support agent trying to figure out how to get his gun un-jammed.  Sometime's RASing from home can feel a little like that.  It will be interesting to see how this mechinima develops.  If you haven't seen it yet, check out the First Episode: 1-800-MAGIC on Xbox.com.
